In mid-July, Nokia has let the bombshell: The traditional manufacturer actually plans to return to the smartphone market. The Nokia C1, rumored to be the first Android smartphone of the Finns to be, now reaches us new pictures. The narrow edges display paired with the simple, however elegant unibody whet your appetite for more.
As a Nokia 2013 sold its mobile phone division to Microsoft, the Finnish company had to commit the same time to bring to the end of the third quarter 2016 no smartphones with its own brand name in the trade. Now we write already September 2015 and the electoral threshold is approaching so slowly to an end. In mid-July reaffirmed Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri to re-entering the mobile market under his own name and for that to seek appropriate hardware partners. For after their own mobile division immigrated to Redmond, the company, founded in 1865, had no capacity to produce even smartphones. The plan should be to license their own brand of strong partners: Nokia would only take care of the design and the software of the device, manufacturing, marketing and sales then take over the partner. In this way, the Nokia N1 tablet has arisen incidentally already being built by well-known Chinese ODM Foxconn.
The Nokia C1, which now posed before the camera and the first pure Android smartphone the manufacturer should be similar in design to the way very erstenAndroid all tablet of the Group. Although Nokia's mobile phone division brought to the X, X + and XL in the spring of 2014 times entry-level smartphones with Android on the market, but said devices had no certification for the Store and based on a Fork.
If the images of the front and back to be authentic, the C1 is expected to appear with a noble unibody enclosure. If this is made of plastic or metal, is not apparent. Judging by the pictures here but we would tap the latter. Moreover, even the camera module to see which has at least one flash. The front is almost entirely occupied by the display - here stand above all the very narrow display edges in the eye, which should give the device a pleasant handling.
The colleagues of TabTech also report on a rendered image of the Nokia C1, which has appeared at the weekend and more or less confirmed the design of the leaks shown here:

Nokia C1 with full HD display and Intel processor
As software used at least Android 5.0 Lollipop is installed, as can be seen from the navigation buttons. Since the Nokia C1 but appears earlier than the beginning of the fourth quarter 2016, still a lot is expected by then have done and the equipment probably ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, or even a newer version of Android. That the C1 is equipped with Nokia's own house Z launcher, is at the present time, although only speculative, but is obvious. The technical equipment there is as yet little to report - only has a Full HD resolution of supposedly 5 inches diagonally measured display is rumored and that the Nokia C1 is to be driven by an unspecified Intel processor.
